To enable student or staff access to 5-Star Students, please use the below guidance.
To add the 5-Star Students application to your Clever portal, Clever district adminstrators can add the app directly from the Clever Dashboard
To add the application:
- After configuring the SSO details, it's crucial to test the connection. This usually involves impersonating an existing student or staff member and verifying that you can access the application through the Clever portal.
- Once you've verified the SSO connection, you can share the application with the intended users or user groups.
*Important notes for students:
5-Star Students also requires rostering student data from Clever to function correctly. You may need to request rostering from the application before completing this setup.
*Important notes for teachers/staff:
Individuals must have a 5-Star Students user account to access the website at https://app.5starstudents.com. Otherwise, they will receive an error message during the SSO process. School site admins/managers can invite staff within 5-Star Students, by selecting the appropriate access level for each individual. Staff "rostering" through Clever does NOT automatically provision access, however managers can easily select rostered staff to configure accounts.
